Top Tips to Book Your Ideal St John Vacation Rental

Discovering the Perfect St John Vacation Rental

When you’re planning your dream getaway, finding the perfect St John vacation rental can make all the difference. Imagine waking up to the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore, stepping out onto your private balcony, and being greeted by the stunning Caribbean sunrise. This can be your reality when you choose the right rental.

St John Vacation Rental

Understanding Your Needs and Preferences

The first step in booking a St John vacation rental is understanding your needs and preferences. Are you traveling with family, friends, or a special someone? Do you prefer a secluded villa or a bustling condo close to the action? Knowing what you want can help narrow down your options.

Researching Locations and Amenities

St John offers a variety of locations and amenities to suit every traveler. From the vibrant Cruz Bay area to the serene Coral Bay, each part of the island has its unique charm. Look for rentals that offer amenities like private pools, beach access, and fully equipped kitchens. For instance, I once stayed in a villa with a breathtaking view of Trunk Bay, and it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a hammock perfect for lazy afternoons.

Setting a Budget

Before you fall in love with a luxurious rental, set a budget. St John vacation rentals can range from affordable condos to extravagant villas. By setting a budget, you can focus on options within your price range. Remember, the most expensive option isn’t always the best; it’s about finding a place that meets your needs and enhances your vacation experience.

Booking Early

St John is a popular destination, so it’s wise to book your rental early. This ensures you get the best selection and can secure your ideal spot. During peak seasons, rentals can fill up quickly, and you don’t want to miss out on your perfect home away from home.

Reading Reviews

Reviews can provide valuable insights into what you can expect from a St John vacation rental. Look for feedback on cleanliness, the accuracy of the listing, and the responsiveness of the host. I once chose a rental based on glowing reviews about the host’s local knowledge and hospitality, and it made my trip unforgettable.

Checking for Hidden Fees

Be aware of hidden fees when booking your rental. These can include cleaning fees, service charges, or additional costs for amenities. Make sure to read the fine print and ask the host about any extra charges to avoid surprises.

Communicating with the Host

Good communication with your host can enhance your vacation experience. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about the rental, the area, or any special requests you might have. A responsive and helpful host can provide insider tips and ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Exploring Booking Platforms

Various platforms offer St John vacation rentals, each with its pros and cons. Websites like Airbnb, VRBO, and local rental agencies have extensive listings. Compare prices, read reviews, and check for any special offers or discounts. For instance, I once found a last-minute deal on a stunning beachfront property through a local agency’s website.

Considering Travel Insurance

Travel insurance can be a lifesaver when plans change unexpectedly. It can cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events. Given the investment in a St John vacation rental, having insurance can provide peace of mind.

Enjoying Your Stay

Once you’ve booked your ideal St John vacation rental, it’s time to enjoy your stay. Explore the island’s beautiful beaches, hiking trails, and vibrant local culture. Whether you’re snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of Maho Bay or savoring a delicious meal at a local restaurant, St John offers endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation.

A Personal Experience

During my last visit to St John, I stayed in a charming villa nestled in the hills of Coral Bay. Waking up to the panoramic views of the bay and enjoying breakfast on the terrace was a daily highlight. The villa’s proximity to the National Park allowed for easy access to some of the island’s best hiking trails. One afternoon, after a hike to Ram Head Trail, I returned to the villa and relaxed in the private pool, soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

Making Memories

A St John vacation rental offers more than just a place to stay; it’s an opportunity to create lasting memories. Whether you’re traveling with loved ones or enjoying a solo retreat, the right rental can make your vacation truly special. From sunset views to cozy nights in, every moment can become a cherished memory.

Final Thoughts

Booking the perfect St John vacation rental doesn’t have to be overwhelming. By understanding your needs, setting a budget, and doing thorough research, you can find a rental that meets your expectations. Remember to book early, read reviews, and communicate with your host for the best experience. And most importantly, enjoy every moment of your St John getaway.

Bliss Surfer Hotel Bali, a Perfect Choice for Surfer Travelers

Are you looking for a great place designed uniquely for surfer? Bliss Surfer Hotel, Legian, Bali by Avilla Group is a great choice for you. It is an ideal place to stay with family and friends. Bali is not simply about beautiful destinations and great cultural attractions, but also about hospitalities and extraordinary staying experience. Bliss Surfer Hotel is an ideal place, where you can prepare your mind, energy, and everything you need for unforgettable surfing experience.

Why Staying In Bliss Surfer Hotel Bali?

My experience staying at Bliss Surfer Hotel may inspire you if you are setting a plan to spend a nice weekend in Bali Island. My first staying experience encourages me to plan another vacation. I have many things to tell you.

A Surfing Theme hotel

Few hotels are designed specially for a certain hobby. Bliss Surfer Hotel, Legian, Bali, is one of them. It offers the excitement of beach vacation even before you get to the beach. The hotel is designed in surfing theme. As you enter the hotel environment, you will be amazed by the surfing-themed views. The transparent windows at the second level are furnished with hanging surfing boards, while the hotel entrance is designed in wave theme.

Getting into the hotel, you will feel like the surfing experience is real. The hotel interior is furnished with surfing-themed decors, such as a line of surfing board. The guest room is designed with colorful and bright interiors. You can see nice photographs of surfers that ride the waves. The interior designs will surely make you impatient to enjoy the real surfing experience.

Complete Facilities

I visited Legian, Bali, with my friends. We stayed in a guest room, which feels so airy in cozy and modern designs. There is a room for everyone. It provided us with a stronger family bonding as we can enjoy the time in a casual gateway. However, if you plan to visit with family or with spouse, there will certainly be rooms for you too. There are 111 rooms and suites to choose.

We felt so excited staying in the hotel. Complete facilities are available, such as air conditioning, cable television channels, iPod dock, coffee and tea maker, as well 24-hour room service. One of my mate loves cold drinks, and he was happy, as a mini-refrigerator is available in the room. I particularly love the view from the private terrace. It is a great place, where I could enjoy a cup of hot tea take nice pictures of Legian.

Great Dishes

Another thing that I love from Bliss Surfer Hotel is the foods. We love delicious foods at Bombora restaurant, which serves various kinds of foods, including seafood. I do not really like beer, but if you do, you can warm up your day with some cold beers. I prefer Indonesian dishes, which were processed from the freshest seafood. For those who love international dishes, many choices are available. I myself particularly loves the multi-tiered sandwiches.

Close Proximity to the Beach

Bliss Surfer Hotel is strategically located in Legian, Bali. From Ngurah Rai International Airport, it took us only 15 minutes to get to the hotel. We needed another 15 minutes to get to Kuta Beach. Legian is not as crowded as Kuta Beach is, but not as quiet as Seminyak is. Surfers generally choose Legian since its location is in close proximity to the beach. So we did. From the hotel, we walked along a paved pedestrian path, where bars, restaurants, and nightclubs are in line.

The most popular spot along Legian beach is located on Jalan Padma. It is a popular spot for playing in the sand and getting some cold beers. Yes, some vendors sell beers under umbrellas, so you can easily get it. I recommend a hair braiding service offered by a local lady, if you come with your wife. I rented a surfboard from the nearest rental service. Yes, you can easily get surfboards or boogie boards for rent here.

Easy Access to Other Destinations

Surfing was our main targets when visiting Bali. However, visiting Bali is not complete if you only enjoy a single attraction. We proved that. I wanted to visit the popular Kuta Beach, as was a novice surfer. Kuta Beach is more friendly with newbie surfer. We were fortunate as we stayed in the right hotel. Kuta Beach is only 3 kilometers away from Bliss Surfer Hotel.  After only 15-minute ride, we got to Kuta Beach and enjoy another day surfing there.

Besides Kuta Beach, Bliss Surfer Hotel is also in close proximity to other popular destinations in Bali. They include Balangan Beach and Echo Beach, which are around 12 and 13 kilometers, respectively, away from Legian. As we still had enough time, I with one of my friends went to Tanjung Benoa Water Sport that is located only 7 kilometers from Legian. There, we had a 15-minute session of jet ski. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to visit Garuda Wisnu Kencana that is only 5 kilometers from the hotel. I plan to set a visit to GWK for my next trip.

International Hospitality

Bliss Surfer Hotel offers high-grade hospitality, which every visitor wants. I think that staff was awesome, as they are very friendly. We felt comfortable since the hotel environment is family friendly. We enjoyed amazing food and services.

Bliss Surfer Hotel offers extra services on demand. I did not use such services since I had only a short weekend. You can have special events here, such as surprise event, meeting and gathering, hot dog party, romantic dinner, ngelawar, or even bike rentals for those who want to explore the exotic Balinese villages.

You will surely not feel regretful by staying at Bliss Surfer Hotel. You will find an amazingly comfortable environment, where the surfing experience feels so real. Everything is designed to provide you with the feeling as if you are exploring another side of the surfing wave. I hope that I will have a long weekend in the coming months, and I will set another stay at Bliss Surfer Hotel, Legian, Bali.

Choose a central hotel for your Bangkok visit

Bangkok has over 300 hotels in the central area so it can be extremely difficult to decide on where to stay in this sprawling city. A recent trip introduced me to the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association which I discovered has eight major central city hotels as members.

The location is the most central in Bangkok so all the major shopping centres, some of the major tourist attractions, and many restaurants and night-time venues are walkable or within easy reach by the BTS Skytrain system. It seems a logical choice for everyone.

While the member hotels are all four or five-star properties, rates are attractive compared with many other cities and low transport costs help further. It is possible to walk between all of the hotels so it is possible to stay in one but dine and use other facilities in some of the others. Here is a quick run-down of what I found.

St Regis Bangkok

This is one of the newest five-star resorts. With 176 stunning large rooms and 51 suites, this is a great hotel. I stayed here for three nights and it was very clear to me that the hotel is very serious in providing what it calls the ‘art of living experience’ with an exclusive spa, well-appointed exercise room, outdoor swimming pool and contemporary poolside cafe. There is 24-hour butler service to every room which includes free pressing of two items per day amongst a host of services.

St Regis pool

The hotel has a large lounge and the Jojo Restaurant on the ground floor then reception, another lounge and the all-day VIU Restaurant are on floor 12. Rooms are above here so all provide good views, many over the Royal Bangkok Sports Club’s green fields. The Jojo Restaurant offers Italian cuisine, Decanter has a gentlemen’s club ambience and a vast wine cellar, while the Drawing Room has a traditional Afternoon Tea.

The Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel

The 354 rooms and suites at this five-star hotel are delightful and I have considered this a favourite for nearly 30 years. There is a choice of award-winning restaurants and what is probably Bangkok’s best Sunday brunch. The spa, outdoor swimming pool and 24-hour health club are all superb while the cooking school is a must for culinary enthusiasts.

Anantara Bangkok Siam bedroom - Copy

Everyone seems to have a favourite restaurant here. Mine is Spice Market which is designed to resemble a charming old Thai spice shop and has fine Thai cuisine to match. I’m sure others like Madison, a contemporary steakhouse; Shintaro, a lovely Japanese restaurant; or Biscotti with its Italian offerings. Several other outlets offer casual and light bites.

Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok

This is just metres away and it is another fine five-star property with 380 guest rooms. It is directly linked to a Skytrain station so going further afield is easy. There is plenty to keep you here, however. One is its stunning new i.sawan Residential Spa & Club which has six residential spa cottages, nine treatment bungalows, hair salon, nail bar, health and fitness studios, and a free-form swimming pool.

Grand-Hyatt-Bangkok-Lobby - Copy

Erawan shopping mall is attached to the hotel so there is wide choice and this contains the lovely Erawan Tea Room which is my choice for afternoon tea and Thai cuisine. Tables Grill offers meat and seafood dishes, The Dining Room has all-day buffet dining while Spasso is an Italian restaurant and late night entertainment hot spot.

The Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel

This has 333 guestrooms and suites and the mandatory spa, swimming pool and 24-hour fitness centre all within 160 metres of Chidlom Skytrain Station and 200 metres from Erawan Shrine. Guests can relax with a soothing massage at Quan Spa or in the steam rooms. The hotel also offers free fitness lessons at its gym, and an indoor pool.

Renaissance Fei Ya - Copy

All-day dining with international dishes is available in the stylish environment of Flavours Restaurant. Fei Ya offers fine Chinese dishes while La Tavola Restaurant has a wine bar. The R Bar transforms during the day from Italian coffee and Danish muffins in the morning to tapas and fine wines as you groove to the latest beats with the resident DJ in the evening.

The Intercontinental Bangkok

Another 5-star hotel is just across the road. It has 381 luxury guest rooms, including Club InterContinental rooms and a range of suites. The hotel has an ambience of understated luxury and this extends to the rooftop swimming pool, the many restaurants and bars, and to the Spa Intercontinental where I recently experienced a relaxing treatment to die for.

Intercontinental Summer Palace - Copy

Restaurant choices include the Fireplace Grill which serves prime steaks and fresh seafood; the Grossi Trattoria with Italian and Australian influences; Espresso which serves dishes from around the world; and Summer Palace with Cantonese cuisine and daily Dim Sum lunch.

Centara Grand at Centralworld

The largest of the hotels in this area soars almost 200 metres into the sky with 505 5-star rooms over 55 floors. The rooms have state-of-the-art equipment and the nine World Executive Club floors offer even more. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre with aerobic studio, sauna, tennis courts and Spa Cenvaree. There is a steak restaurant, an al fresco bistro and bar, Ginger which serves Japanese and Chinese cuisine, and a 24-hour world dining restaurant.

centara - Copy

Centara Grand is part of Centralworld, Bangkok’s first totally integrated hotel, convention venue and mega shopping centre. With over 500 stores, 100 restaurants, 15 cinemas and much more in the complex it really is a one-stop destination. You may never leave the complex.

The Holiday Inn Bangkok

Holiday Inn-Bangkok - Copy

This slightly less luxurious 4-star property with 379 rooms in two towers provides an attractive alternative. You can have the same location benefits at a cheaper price. The hotel has a fitness centre, a pool, sauna, children’s playground, and three dining options. The hotel has a ballroom which can seat up to 900 theatre style.

Hotel Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam

Novotel - Copy

This is a very modern 283 room 4-star family-friendly hotel in the heart of the fashion district, ideally located above Platinum Mall. The hotel has a restaurant and two bars but these are complemented by many others in the mall. There is an outdoor pool, fitness centre and Turkish bath.

HARRIS Hotel and Conventions, the Best Resort Hotel in Malang, East Java, Indonesia

Cheers! I always heard this word anytime I visited HARRIS hotel and met the hotel staffs. The smile will never fade away from your face any time you are greeted by the hotel staffs. This reflects the hospitality of the staffs at HARRIS Hotel and Conventions, Malang

Simple, unique, and friendly; these three words reflect the situation in the five-star hotel, which is dominated by orange tone that brings a fresh feeling and atmosphere into the hotel. Situated at the “green” Riverside, near to Malang Surabaya main highway, from which you can easily get access to the bus station and to the airport. HARRIS Hotel and Conventions, Malang is an ideal place to hold a business seminar, business conference and convention, and many other business and personal activities.

In addition, it provides a relaxing atmosphere for the visitors, like me, Shem MD, who came with all family members for an unforgettable weekend in one of the best resort hotels in Malang, East Java, such as HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Malang. I visited the hotel during the weekend when I could do many activities. I stayed at the hotel for a pleasing serenity it offers. Getting into the Green Estate of Riverside, you can easily find the hotel with 229 beds. In addition, it is equipped with a ballroom with a capacity of 1500 individuals and 3 meeting rooms with seating capacity of 50 persons each. This is possible for the ultimate serenity the hotel offers.

HARRIS Hotel and Conventions, Malang, is an ideal place for a relief from the crowded urban life. When arriving at the hotel lobby, I was welcomed by hotel staffs in orange suite, offering professional and hospitable services, such as welcome drink and cold towel. The General Manager of HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Malang, Stylianos Koureas was there to provide us with interesting information on what to do in the hotel. Mr. Stylianos is very warm and polite. It is not surprising to know that he has been awarded as “GM of The Year” for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2013 by Tauzia Hotel Management.

After the check-in process, I was brought to my room, namely HARRIS Suite Room No 709. It was a wonderful hotel room suite, with 48 square meter. This suite room is divided into two rooms, the bedroom and the living room. The bathroom space is divided into two different bathrooms, a comfortable guest bathroom in the living room and master bedroom, which is equipped with on-bedroom guest bathtubs.

In the living room, I could enjoy Smart TV channel, which is connected to internet, equipped with a complete set of complete home theatre and 3D glasses, for a memorable home theatre experience. Yes, you can enjoy the 3D home theatre from the comfort of your hotel room. It is fantastic! you can browse the internet as much as you want, using free but fast Wi-Fi services, which could be accessed from the hotel room or from any other areas in the hotel.

After spending sometime lying on the comfortable bed and enjoying 3D home theater movies in the room suite, I moved to the amazing recreation activity area. There are 3 great swimming pools which equipped with a variety of water playing tools, kid’s playing club (Dino’s club), HARRIS hotel cafe and terrace, HARRIS juice bar, fitness center, sauna, wedding chapel, and ping pong table, and many more. More interestingly, the recreation area is surrounded by amazing natural scene, green mountains, and rows of pine trees. All of these will encourage you stay longer in this area.

After enjoying various activities in the recreation area, I enjoyed Spa service in HARRIS spa, which is known to be the best place for relaxation and spa service in Malang. This time, I had “Cempaka Massage,” a combination of Javanese relaxing massage, body scrub, and milk mask. Two hours I spent in the spa went so fast and I felt so relaxed after the massage. You will find your body and soul relaxed after the Javanese relaxing massage. Your skin tone becomes lighter with body scrub and milk mask treatment. For these convenient services, you only had to pay IDR 325.000, the service and the comfort really pay the price. However, if you need a cheaper one, you can have cheaper spa service in the hotel, for which you just need to pay IDR 175.000. I agree with the statement that HARRIS spa is the best spa in Malang.

Sunset was the time for me to enjoy the classy delicacies in the hotel. I went to the HARRIS restaurant and cafe, which is located near to the main swimming pool. It provides a serene environment. Here, you can enjoy a variety of high-quality foods, with the rows of pine trees as the background scene and with the fresh air of Malang City soothing your mind. Of the various menus, ranging from Indonesian-specific food to Italian food, Chinese food as well as any other Western foods, I opted western-style food, namely, Balsamic Glazed filet mignon, recommended by Mr. Stylianos, the General Manager of HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Malang.

Within few minutes, some appetizers were served to me before the main course, namely, cheese ball and mozzarella sticks. For the main course, I spent IDR 165.000 and the taste really paid the price. I enjoyed the smaller end of smooth perfectly roasted tenderloin. It was juicy and tasty, with balsamic sauce spread around the filet mignon. It blended nicely with the meat. You can taste the real balsamic vinegar and red wine in the sauce. The foods really pay the amount you spend and you will never feel disappointed with them.

Then came the time for hotel room, where I spent the night under a relaxing atmosphere on the king-size bed. In the next morning, I woke up to enjoy the breakfast buffet. The hotel served the best variations of breakfast menus from different countries. You can visit HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Malang for vacation, business, or for any other activities in Malang City, and you will enjoy a memorable experience staying at the resort hotel.
