The Cost of Speeding Around The World

Renting a car whilst abroad can be a liberating and fun way to explore the ‘real’ parts of the place you’re visiting and to find destinations out of the general tourists’ eye, but when it comes to driving there are different rules around the world that must be followed if you want to stay in line with the law.

The latest infographic from AVIS looks at the speeding limits from around the world and the then consequential speeding fines that are occurred to anyone breaking the law. For example, if you’re planning to visit Sydney and travel the roads with a rental then you’ll need to remember that the urban speeding limit is 31MPH whilst the motorway speeding limit is 81MPH. Their maximum fine can cost you more than $2,000 Australian Dollars.

Be vigilant, be sensible, have a good time but most of all: keep an eye on the roads and drive safely.
