In Singapore, Chinese New Year means spectacle in the Chinatown, where the streets are lit with traditional red paper lanterns and street bazaar is opened for public. This unique tradition has become a huge celebration, thanks to the rising numbers of Chinese populations in Australia. The Twilight Parade, as the name suggests, starts at dusk where thousands of people flock the main streets to see lively parade filled with dancers, marching bands, decorated floats, martial art and acrobatic groups and of course the famous lion dance troupes.
