Traveling with your friends and loved one is definitely a great way to see the world but sometimes, wouldn’t it be nice if you could just get up and go traveling for a bit on your very own?

Going on a solo holiday can be one of the most liberating things you might ever experience, with it opening up some great and unique perspectives and nurturing personal interactions with the world. It’s a great challenge to the senses and environment and can sometimes make you appreciate things even more.

Since 2013, it’s reported that the market share for solo travel has increased by a massive 60% showing a clear interest and trend in people deciding to go traveling abroad. Many reasons can be behind this – it might be the sense of freedom it provides or even it may just work out cheaper or the only option for people at the time.

Recent travel surveys have also found that nowadays an estimated 1 in 4 people will have travelled solo on their last vacation, either for the whole trip or for just parts of their trip. It’s even reported that 40% of first time travellers prefer to travel on their own.
